CRIM-APE: The Great Reset
The world didn’t end with bombs; it ended with a medical breakthrough gone rogue. In the mid-2020s, a mutated, highly aggressive strain of the COVID virus threatened global civilization. In a desperate race against time, a coalition of genetic laboratories deployed a fast-tracked, self-replicating booster vaccine designed to rewrite human immune responses on a cellular level.
The vaccine successfully eradicated the virus, but it triggered an unforeseen, delayed side effect in human DNA. Over generations, humanity underwent severe cognitive regression, losing the capacity for complex speech and advanced societal thought, effectively turning into a primitive, docile species.
Paradoxically, when primates in captivity and urban centers were exposed to the shed proteins of vaccinated humans, it triggered a massive neurological leap. They inherited the lost spark of human intellect, language, and ambition. They inherited the earth, took human clothes, rebuilt the ruined infrastructure, and named their new world The Concrete Canopy
WANTED: 6 PART SERIES
The 6 Legendary Outlaws of the Canopy
The wasteland is ruled by chaos, but six infamous figures stand out on the global "WANTED" registry. Each represents a different path chosen after the fall of man.
The Outsider (The Catalyst): He refuses to join any official ape clan. He is a master of arson and espionage. Rumor has it he discovered the secret formula to the pre-war ice cream plague and carries it in his pocket, making him the most targeted ape alive.
The Drifter (The Muscle): Leader of the Iron Fur Motorcycle Club. He controls the desolate highways between the ruined mega-cities. If you want to smuggle fuel or stolen goods across the wasteland, you pay his toll—or get crushed under his tires.
The Outlaw (The Tech-Scavenger & Master Smith) Operating out of the scorched western deserts, he is the wasteland’s premier master gunsmith. He hand-carved and precision-engineered "The Cavendish Six-Shooter" out of indestructible pre-war aerospace polymers and recycled titanium train tracks. He marks his flawless creations with a hand-painted blue signature seal, the ultimate status symbol of lethal reliability in the waste, keeping his gang one step ahead of wasteland law enforcement
The Musician (The Prophet): He uses the remnants of human culture to control the masses. His melancholic blues and rock ballads tell the history of the "Old World." His music is so powerful it can start riots or broker peace treaties between warring factions, making his voice a lethal weapon.
The Madness (The Mutant Beast): A tragic victim of overdosing on the mutated pre-war ice cream formula. He represents pure, unbridled primal rage. He wanders the radiation zones, destroying whole settlements overnight. Factions don't try to capture him; they just pray he passes by.
The Temptation (The Anarchist): The youngest and most chaotic of the legends. He uses tag art to mark conquered territories and blind automated security drones with high-staining paint. He believes the new world should have no rules, no factions, and no masters—just pure expression and total anarchy.
THE AWAKENING: A 3 PART SERIES
The Dawn of The Concrete Canopy: The Legend of The Three Primordial Prophets
At the heart of this new civilization’s genesis stood three awakened test subjects from the primary military-grade genetic facility—revered by generations to come as The Three Primordial Prophets. Together, they formed a living blueprint for simian survival, teaching their kind how to navigate the psychological ghosts of the old world.
United in purpose, The Three Primordial Prophets established the philosophical foundation of the new world. Today, their screen-printed icons line the neon alleys of The Concrete Canopy. They stand as an eternal reminder to all primates that true advancement requires locking away the physical vices, dangerous rhetoric, and corrupting noise of the creators who came before them.
Subject 808 – The Blind Prophet (See No Evil) The first to awaken was Subject 808. As the virus aggressively attacked his primary optic nerves and blinded his physical eyes, his prefrontal cortex underwent a radical mutation, opening a hyper-perceptive Third Eye of Enlightenment. Capable of sensing electromagnetic fields and pure biological intent, 808 pulled his human-made cap low over his dead eyes. He chose to entirely reject the sight of human decay and corporate moral failures. Becoming the symbol of See No Evil, 808 utilized tactile Braille patterns to etch the first law of the Canopy into the ruins: "The mistakes of the creators shall not be repeated by the heirs."
Subject 404 – The Silent Orator (Speak No Evil) As the genetic mutation spread, it warped the larynx of Subject 404, transforming his voice into a devastating sonic weapon capable of causing neural hemorrhaging in those around him. Recognizing that his voice could accidentally destroy his fragile, awakening kin, 404 bound his lower face in a heavy paisley shroud and swore an oath of absolute silence. Embodying Speak No Evil, he rejected the human history of propaganda, political rhetoric, and deceptive media. Through his third eye, he bypassed spoken language entirely, projecting telepathic blueprints and laws directly into the minds of his followers.
Subject 202 – The Deaf Warden (Hear No Evil) The final pillar of the triad arose as the old world collapsed into a chaotic nightmare of blaring facility alarms and weaponized frequencies. Subject 202's mutation fused his inner ear bones, rendering him entirely deaf to the physical world but opening a third eye uniquely attuned to the invisible strings of emotional malice. Clamping massive, retro-style human headphones over his ears and cutting the cords to the old human data networks, 202 became the shield of Hear No Evil. Locked in a protective snarl, he guarded the gates of the new civilization, tuning out the deceptive static, media fearmongering, and false promises of mankind's final days.
THE MIND HUNTER
The Chronicle of The Mind Hunter
When the self-replicating booster proteins shed by fading humans drifted into the zoo enclaves of the old mega-cities, the genetic anomaly seeped deeply into the enclosures of the elephants—creatures who already possessed legendary, deep-rooted biological memory.
While the rising ape factions inherited human ambition, chaos, and the insatiable desire of consumer culture, this singular entity inherited the absolute weight of human suffering and the philosophies meant to cure it. He absorbed the fragmented remnants of ancient Eastern ascetics, recognizing that the fallen human world and the rising ape world shared the exact same affliction: suffering born of endless craving and attachment. Adopting the grand title of Ganesha-Prime, though known universally across the ruins as The Mind Hunter, he stands as a tranquil anchor among a society of hyper-intelligent, hyper-distracted primates.
His continuous "mind hunt" is a solitary, relentless pursuit of absolute enlightenment across the astral planes. This dedication tore open a neural doorway to the forgotten, fallen gods of the Old World. Passing through this cosmic gateway anchored his consciousness outside of linear time, rendering Ganesha-Prime immortal and making him the first true god of the Concrete Canopy.
The Gift: The Invitation to the Void. The pan-genetic mutation split his awareness across multiple planes of reality, allowing him to perceive the heavy mental attachments and cyclical burdens of the ape populace. He forces his power upon no one, offering his hidden temple strictly as a sanctuary for exhausted primates seeking stillness. When his palms open, they reveal the eyes of past gods, whose voices guide seekers to confront their illusions, break free from their comfort zones, and begin the path of enlightenment. When the noise of the Canopy becomes too loud and the illusions of the Old World trap your soul, look to the shadows of the ruins. Find his shelter, watch for the speaking palms, and let the first god of the Canopy guide you along the path to ultimate liberation.
